A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Supply Manager, with particular focus on managing overseas supply
Our client is a rapidly growing online retail business, and requires the Supply Manager to manage all inbound supply, from product master data through to the confirmed customer orders. This role will involve a great deal of supplier engagement and supplier performance analysis/reporting
Role Profile
- Management of all suppliers, both overseas and domestic and overall responsibility for the entire vendor to stocking location process
- Contract negotiations with key suppliers and freight forwarders
- Overall management of the whole overseas supplier process and coordination of all sea freight supply
- Ensuring that all master data requirements are adhered to by all suppliers
- Ongoing analysis and sign off of Supply Planning volumes, in conjunction with enhancing the company Demand Planning function
- Managing domestic suppliers and ensuring all fulfilment targets are met
- Identifying system enhancements that can drive continuous improvement in all Supply Chain processes
- Producing key supply reports to the board, covering supplier performance, service levels, forecasting accuracy and commercial updates
- Developing the supply team through regular appraisals and effective performance development plans
Candidate Requirements
- At least 3 years experience in a senior Supply Chain Management role
- Experience of supplier negotation and freight forwarder negotiation essential for this position
- Good influencing skills and comfortable in dealing with directors/senior managers
- Experience of managing a supply team, with good organisational skills and decisiveness
- Demonstrable experience of supplier performance management success
- Good knowledge of forecasting and planning systems
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to present findings to senior management in a clear and concise manner
- Mid to advanced level in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Powerpoint
